{Renegade Craft Fair-Day 10}

Yum, Chocolate and Steel, yes I know, I said steel with our coveted chocolate, but you would too if you saw these delicate creations by Christine. She has crafted some stacking rings of woodsy animals (like the duck above), floral, and more natural icons. What a fun way to add some "steel" to your diet.

{Renegade Craft Fair-Day 9}

This Etsy artisan had so many beautiful items, that I vowed I would return via the Etsy site to see more of Twigs and Heather. Delightful and whimsical notions interplay with nature and develop into some pretty and clever creations. I'm delighted by these goodies.

{Renegade Craft Fair-Day 8}

Such creative repurposes of lost and found treasures, as well as some new items with a feel of the old, this Etsy artisan offers a whole line of the most unforgettable items. My favorite, ok, one of my favorites, is the black mug shot book, which is a leather bound book with an old tin photo embedded in the leather. So, please visit The Black Spot Books.

{Renegade Craft Fair-Day 7}

After seeing the cozy and rugged yet beautiful repurposed works of Peg and Awl, I wanted to go home and re-do my entire house. I noticed that Traget has a line of home decor with a similar vein. However, nothing can compare to the items that P&A offer.

{Saturday Sleep-in}

While looking on Etsy, I discovered this very clever artisan Letter Perfect Designs and thought what a delightful way to personalize one's bedroom. Make it yours, I say, take it back from the cats, the dogs, whomever, and declare that this bedroom is your sanctuary from the world. It is your place to decompress and recharge.

Here's the pillow I would pick for myself:

{mapping the world}

Here are some beautiful cut paper art and illustrations by Karen O’Leary. Karen creates hand cut city prints using maps of cities across the world. I was really drawn to her New Orleans cutting above, but have a soft spot for the Paris piece below, which is so clean and simple with its white background. Karen takes custom orders, and can do pieces ranging from specific spaces (like Hyde Park) to full cities. Karen sells her work in original cut form ($220+), original drawing form ($140), or print form ($35+) at her Etsy shop right here.

{welcome to the jungle}

Henri Rousseau is one of my favorite stops at the Philadelphia Museum of Art. The intensity of the color, the jungle subjects, and the size of the canvas. One feels as if she is a part of the jungle in which he paints.

So, when I saw the work of Becca Stadtlander, an artist and illustrator, her paintings caught my eye immediately. There’s something about her use of color that reminds me of the jungle paintings of Rousseau. I love the way she plays with colors and seems to balance them so well-nothing feels overdone, just perfectly alive and bright. You can check out more of Becca’s work on her blog or pick up a piece of her work on Etsy right here ($20 for prints).

{in the mood for a party}

I must be in the mood for a party, well at least summer, so I can wear sun dresses and sandals. This painting, yes it is a painting, by Janet Hill just evokes the very mood I'm in. I love the bright colors, the delicious cake, and festive bunting. So, where's my invite?

{dream bookshelf}

It’s fascinating how much you can tell about someone’s personality through their book choices. Jane Mount paints “ideal bookshelves” that belong to individuals she knows. They are usually grouped thematically, focusing on say, cooking books, sci fi, politics, etc. I have really enjoyed looking through her archives online, but had even more fun imagining which of these most closely fit my personality. Which one closely fits your personality?

{sunny Sunday}

The sun is out and the time is ripe to go thrifting! I love scouring flea markets and thrift stores for great finds. This print by Ashley G. sums up my mood. (click here to check it out)

{Moonlight Court} is a sponsor of Haute Whimsy for the month of March. It is a link to my Etsy site, in addition to the one on my page here. What is great is that other cool Etsy sites are also newly sponsored and have some really great products for sale.

Please be sure to check it out! Thanks!

{trimmings and fancy goods}

{Moonlight Court} is introducing a line of Trimmings and Fancy Goods. These glass tile pendants will soon be for sale in {Moonlight Court's} Etsy shop. The images range from Marie Antoinette to Jane Austen, with a mix of crowns, quotes, and romantic images. I also do commission work, so if you would like to trim yourself with a pendant of your child, grandchild, or pet, I can make it happen.

{make an entrance}

This delightful pillow just makes me smile. Who doesn't love a pillow? Well, ok what woman doesn't like a pillow, because I can tell you my darling boyfriend hates pillows and constantly must move them in order to find a seat. But, this pillow, I just love it. {kitsch to classy}

Featured in Country Living and Southern Living Magazines, Etsy artist Fondue Vintage specializes in decoupage using wallpapers from the 1920s to the 1970s. From tissue box holders to light switch covers, these fab designs can range from kitsch to classy. I especially love the damask from the 1970s. Tres' chic!
