{Sit, no, I said Sit!}

This next piece might be a little (or a lot) hit or miss for you gentle readers, but for some reason these pet portraits from Dorian Greyhound & Co. are hilarious. Hilarious good, not bad- I can’t look at them without smiling and laughing (and as an official crazy cat lady I’m already imagining what Jack and Ted would look like in this setting). Dorian Greyhound is Shawn Silver’s new company that offers “ancestral” pet portraits made from images of your favorite pets. Shawn and co. combine the portraits with existing old world portraits and then paint them in archival oils. For everyone? Probably not. But if you’ve got some spare change sitting around (ok, spare bills. they start at $800) for some reason this is striking me as a fun idea for the person who really loves their pet- and already has everything. The full Dorian Greyhound website launches later this month.
