Originally built in 1848 by Henri Chatillon and enlarged to its present size in 1861 by Nicolas DeMenil, the Chatillon-DeMenil Mansion features guided tours, a gift shop, a café, and the largest permanent collection of memorabilia from the 1904 World’s Fair. The Mansion is open for tours Wednesday, Thursday & Friday, 10:00 am-3:00 pm; the last tour of the day is at 2:00 pm. Also open Saturdays in July-August.
